“Dorothy” is our original 1919 Ford Model TT truck. TT is the designation for the larger commercial truck version of the Model T. We purchased and shipped this truck from another tintype artist in Kansas a few years ago. The cab, engine and drive train are all stock and original. The rear box was made by hand from reclaimed vintage oak barn wood and it houses our photography darkroom in the rear. It has a storage compartment on the side, along with a display case on the driver’s side. There are oil burning headlamps, which are from a slightly earlier model T. It has a hand crank to start it, and 1919 is the first year that the optional foot starter button was introduced. The truck is fully operable and goes about 35 miles per hour on the road.
Our truck is available to rent per the hour or per the day. Please contact us for a rate. We will need to know your venue location and how much time with the truck you’d like. The truck can be rented separately as a prop, or together with a tintype session.
